Chemo Round 2 - 2-27-23

Today was his 2nd round of chemo. The infusion went well; they did different anti-nausea meds through his port instead of pills this time.

He ate a good dinner and put Silas to bed tonight.

A therapy dog named Holden (golden retriever) visits with people while they sit during their infusions. We met Holden during Zach's first infusion.

Holden was back today for visits. However, our friend Tom came over after we got home and brought us some things from whole foods. He brought his 2nd daughter over, who is six months old. I hadn't held a baby in some time, which brought me so much joy. The innocence and the sweet smiles were what my heart needed. Sometimes I wish I could be a professional baby snuggler.

Zach will return to work this week (working from home), which will be so good for him. He is looking forward to filling his time with things other than doctor appointments.

Our Prayer: Lord, thank you for the benefit of anti-nausea meds. We pray that the cancer cells open themselves up to the chemo and die and that God shields his healthy cells from the negative effects of the chemo.
