Where do I start?

Over the last few weeks, I have only slept in our bed for maybe three nights, between flying to Houston and then back to Dallas (then out to CA for me for my paternal grandfather's memorial service), back home, then off to Cleveland.

We are still waiting to hear back from MD Andersson with their official opinion as they are still waiting to receive the MRI images from Jefferson Radiology. But we are sure we will be transferring care away from MSK.

Both surgeons we spoke with at MD Anderson and Cleveland Clinic were kind and generous with their knowledge and opinions and gave us similar information and direction. We will update you with more info when we hear the official opinion from MD Anderson.

In other sad news, we had to say goodbye to our dog on Wednesday morning before we left for Cleveland. She had a lung tumor that was causing air to fill her chest cavity and compress her lungs. There wasn’t anything we could do to save her and we put her to sleep. It was such a hard decision, but the right one. She was such a good dog, and we miss her running down the stairs to greet us and her sweet eyes begging while we cut chicken or carrots in the kitchen. She was kind and gentle and just wanted to be with her people.

The hits keep coming, and I need a break, but that doesn't seem likely in this journey. -Amber
