Prayer night was amazing 1-24-23
Thank you to all who came, all who joined via zoom, and all who prayed on their own. We are so blessed by your love, support, and prayers. Thank you to Mike, Kristie, Allison, Scott, and Cyndi who organized this for us.
We are not meant to do life alone and we want you to visit. Zach is trying to get in 2-3 walks a day and we would love for you to join him for one of those.
Cancer is a very scary diagnosis, but that doesn't define Zach or our family. What defines our family is our choice to choose love, joy, and peace and follow in the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
When Zach was first diagnosed, we felt lost and Zach has often felt like he was wandering in the desert with so many opinions from doctors and other people on how to treat cancer, and EVERYONE has a different opinion and goal, and approach.
We have found peace (after weeks of praying) in the desert, or the wild west, or the wilderness, whatever you want to call it - we have found peace.
Matthew 11:28-29 sums up the last few months and the rest and peace we feel now.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
We would love to coordinate another prayer night for the zoom attendees so you all have a chance to speak and pray for us. We had around 100 people gather at our church and we were so overwhelmed by the support.
Please comment and let me know what evenings work best. Sundays and Mondays would be the best for us.
I have attached a few photos from last night.
If you would like to say a prayer, this is one I say every morning and often throughout the day.
Dear Lord, thank you for your blessings. Thank you for your peace and love. Thank you for your healing. Amen
